Families Together, Inc. is a statewide non-profit organization serving families in Kansas with a son or daughter with a disability. Families Together is dedicated to assisting other families in Kansas to get the information and support they need to help their child with a disability or developmental delay develop to his/her fullest potential.

Keys for Networking, Inc. is a resource center for families across Kansas. Be sure to check out their links section, as it provides over 100 links to other websites and organizations of interest to parents.

Council for Exceptional Children is largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is the law that guarantees all children with disabilities access to a free and appropriate public education. This section contains links to on-line resources including the new regulations for the 1997 Amendments to the law, training materials, interpretive memos from the U.S. Department of Education, State Improvement Grant (SIG) information, and more.

Learning Disabilities Association of America is a national organization of parents, professionals and individuals with learning disabilities. LDA's purpose is to help parents and individuals of all ages with learning disabilities to improve their quality of life by promoting advocacy, education and research into the causes of learning disabilities. This site contains extensive information about learning disabilities.
